Someone asks me about partner codes every couple of weeks. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code won't affect it.
The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. That's all it does.
How much do you get?
$1,000 deposit adds $200.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Account minimum is $100. But you need $1,000 to qualify for bonus.
Where to enter the code
Registration page. Once you've filled in your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. The field expands. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If you see an error, it's fine. Go ahead and register anyway. Message your get more info account manager before you deposit. Request partner code 128979 be added. Standard practice for them.
There's a catch with the bonus
There's a volume requirement.
Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Only the bonus has the restriction.
One thing worth knowing: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
